Adam Hasson

Adam Hasson is deeply rooted in Seattle's Sephardic Jewish community, with family origins in Rhodes, Turkey, and Egypt. Raised in North Seattle, he attended Roosevelt High School and celebrated his bar mitzvah at Congregation Ezra Bessaroth. Adam earned a degree in Theatre Arts from UCLA and spent a year living in Europe before returning to Seattle. As the great-nephew of a Holocaust survivor from Rhodes, he is committed to preserving Sephardic history and honoring those lost in the Holocaust.
For more than 30 years, Adam has served the Samis Foundation, an organization founded by his great-uncle Samuel Israel to support Jewish education in Washington state and projects in Israel. As director of real estate, he manages a portfolio that includes 11 historic buildings in Pioneer Square and serves on the board of directors for the Alliance for Pioneer Square.
Adam's passions include tennis, gardening, cooking, and travel–from European destinations to Soap Lake, WA. A lifelong language enthusiast, he studies French, Polish, and Ladino, currently learning Ladino at the Oxford School of Languages, and enjoys "echar lashon" with fellow learners and speakers, including his father. Continuing his mother's legacy, Adam owns Sabatier Knife Shop, an online business importing fine French kitchen knives.

Adam lives in Seattle's historic Central District with his partner and pets.
